University Seminar in Modern Greek

Artist Zoë Paul and Alexandra Alexopoulou in conversation about the anthropology of Modern Greek culture through traditions of craft and community. Paul's interests lie within Greek weaving traditions and rural folk art architecture and the communities that develop around these rituals such as weaving, architecture, gossip, women, the role of the orthodox church. This research is then manifested in the form of weavings, sculptures, drawings, installations and poetry.
