Learning Modern Greek

Those wishing to take Modern Greek language courses at Columbia University can do so by registering through their home school or by registering as auditors. 

Students* enrolled in any one of Columbia’s schools can cross-register for Modern Greek courses after consulting with the course instructor via email. Registration is done through the home school (e.g., Teacher’s College). 

*This does not apply to exchange graduate students.

Students who wish to audit Modern Greek courses should contact the course instructor.

Individuals who are not enrolled in any of the Columbia University schools can register as auditors after consulting with the course instructor via email. Registration is done through the School of Professional Studies and is offered at a reduced rate of $2400 per course. Auditors are encouraged to attend classes and keep up with readings but they do not interact during classroom discussions, submit assignments, nor receive grades or course credit.
